The Dream Team (“the Dream Team,” “we,” “us” or “our”) is a private, invitation-only networking group of independent professional advisors in Orange County, California. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information when you visit OC-DreamTeam.com (the “Site”), use the private member hub, or contact us. Questions are welcome at admin@oc-dreamteam.com.
Each member is an independent professional who practices through his or her own firm. When you deal directly with a member or the member’s firm, that firm’s own privacy policy applies to the information it collects.
Website and device information. When you visit the Site, our hosting and security providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages requested and the date and time of your visit. This information is kept in server and security logs.
Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your name, email address and anything you choose to include.
Member information. For members, we collect and maintain the information needed to run the member hub: name, login email, an encrypted (hashed) password, professional profile details (such as title, firm, profession, business contact information, biography, specialties, headshot and referral guide), documents and links members upload, posts and replies in the community and forum, event RSVPs and meal preferences, records of event hosting and attendance, and a record of each time a member accepts the Terms of Use (date and time, Terms version, IP address and browser type). We never store passwords in readable form.
We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information as defined by California law.
We use personal information to:
Member profiles and member-hub content are visible only to logged-in members of the group. They are not published to the public.
We disclose information to service providers that help us operate the Site, such as website hosting, email delivery and catering orders for member events. These providers may use the information only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety or security of our members or others, or to investigate fraud or misuse.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months.
The Site uses only the cookies and browser storage needed to work securely. Fonts and images are served from our own server, so your browser does not contact third-party font or analytics services when you browse the Site.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Lasts |

dt.sid | Keeps members signed in and protects forms against cross-site request forgery | Essential cookie | Up to 14 days |
dt_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or declined non-essential cookies | Essential (local storage) | Until you clear it |
Essential cookies cannot be switched off without breaking member login. We do not currently use any non-essential cookies. If we add any in the future (for example, privacy-friendly analytics), they will load only if you choose Accept in the cookie banner, and we will update this table. You can change your choice at any time using or by clearing your browser’s storage. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to decline non-essential cookies.
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. Member profile and account information is kept while the person is a member and deleted or anonymized within a reasonable time after membership ends, unless we need to keep certain records to resolve disputes or comply with law. Server logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting provider.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, hashed passwords and login-restricted member areas. No website or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, “CCPA”), may give you the right to:
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, from you directly and from your device: identifiers (such as name, email address and IP address); professional or employment-related information (member profiles); internet or other electronic network activity (server logs); and, for members, account login credentials. We use and disclose these categories only for the purposes described in this policy.
To make a request, email admin@oc-dreamteam.com. We will verify your request by matching information you give us with information we hold, and we will respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of the agent’s authority and verify your identity directly. Members can also review and update most of their profile information at any time after logging in.
Some privacy laws apply only to businesses that meet certain thresholds. We extend these choices to all visitors regardless of whether a particular law applies to us.
The Site is intended for adults and business professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
The Site may link to members’ firm websites and other third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes apply going forward from the date they are posted.
